About the Website
For the technically minded, or if you are curious, here's a little bit of information about what makes up NextAdventure.net.
We're happily hosted with NetworkRedux, a local Portland company. Our website is running Drupal as our content management system (updated to 4.7.x in August, 2006). Drupal has been just awesome, and as we get better at using it we're improving our frequency of updates, and hopefully making NextAdventure.net as useful as possible to you! If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please email webmaster@nextadventure.net.
The content on Next Adventure's site is managed and developed by our site editor with contributions from Next Adventure's department heads, staff and customers. We are not an e-commerce site (we don't sell online) so the focus is on providing our online community with a great resource; an overview of the products you'll find here, the latest on the best deals, stories about the adventures of our staff and customers, and links to other local outdoor resources, events and activities. When visiting our site we hope you'll get a feel for the store and our staff as well as inspiration for your next adventure.
We strive to make NextAdventure.net as accessible as possible. While we design to cover all of the popular screen web browsers, switching from Internet Explorer (the default browser in Windows) to Firefox is recommended by experts. A safer, faster, and generally better browsing experience are some of the immediate benefits of switching. For the technically inclined or curious, many more cool and efficient extensions are available for Firefox, too.
