I am an athlete to my core. I learned to ski from my parents when I was two years old, and had a knack for picking things up quickly. I found a deep passion at age 11, and spent my youth as a nationally ranked competitive rock climber. I would most likely still be climbing if I hadn’t torn my bicep twice. After that, it was recommended to me that I take time away from climbing, to focus on rehab. So, I traveled the world, lived overseas and eventually came home looking for a new passion, something to fill the hole. I quickly found Tough Mudder and got over my hatred for running. Not only did I get over it, but fell in love with ultra-distance racing. When I am not training for obstacle course racing, I can be found mountain biking, climbing, sailboat racing, skiing, hiking, skin diving, or maybe learning a new sport.
Fun Fact: My dad plays the bagpipes at some of my races.

I spent six years in college and earned two degrees learning what I ultimately decided is not what I want to do with my life. Now I travel the country (soon the world) running obstacle course races, ultra-distance trail runs, and 24 hour endurance events. Along with some backpacking, sport climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, you know the sort. It’s not where I thought I would be at 26, but I can’t imagine a better life.
