The Techs are responsible for using EZ rent software, checking customers in and out, cleaning and repairing rental fleet items, as well as general organization of Next Adventure’s rental assets. This position requires a great attitude while working with deadlines in a fast-paced team environment. The Tech will spend much of their time customer-facing assisting with rentals. This is a temporary position with the potential for it to turn into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers at the PSC Rental department
  • Assist customers in filling out EZ rent profiles and capturing liability waivers
  • Ensure the customer is set up with all of the requested/required equipment and is instructed on its use
  • Assess customer needs and offer advice on services
  • Learn to effectively and efficiently use the EZ Rent software
  • Check out customers using POS software
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization when it comes to the equipment and the rental department
  • Display attention to detail when checking in and sending out gear to ensure that it is in workable condition
  • Keep Team Leads, Assistant Managers, Location Managers, and Rental/Services manager informed as needed
  • Assist on the retail floor as needed
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Previous customer service experience
  • Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines
  • Previous experience working with a team
  • Ability to talk about kayaks and SUP’s (or learn to)
  • Light to moderate lifting, with reasonable accommodation
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Willing to spend time washing and organizing kayaks and SUP’s
  • Basic math skills
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient with, or a quick study on, Microsoft, Google and internal software applications
