You have had your first taste of paddling, so don’t delay for summer and keep paddling now! In the comfort of a warm pool, Essential Kayak Skills 2 picks up where Essential Kayak Skills 1 left off and introduces how to start unlocking the hidden powers of kayaking. After warming up, we will explore some new techniques on moving our kayaks more intuitively including an introduction to edging, bracing, and even moving sideways. By the end of the session, you will be paddling with confidence and be ready for a year-round lifestyle of recreation paddling, or at least summer if you want to stay as warm as the pool! Our Essential Skills courses are the perfect gateway for all the different style of paddle sport classes we offer, even if you decide to jump to paddle boarding or canoeing!
