Outdoor School - Fall Hike Red Lake Trail

WHERE: Red Lake Trial, Tumala Mountain
 
COST: $50
 
Hike up a ridge through Doug-fir forest through mountain wildflowers to spectacular views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson and the Salmon Huckleberry Wilderness from the summit of Tumala Mountain. 1000 feet gained over 2.3 miles; total round-trip 4.6 miles.
 
Next Adventure will provide transportation, snacks, and experienced guides that know the trail.

Destination: Red Lake Trail, Mt. Hood National Forest
 
Where we meet: Next Adventure 9:30 AM, return to shop by 5:00 PM
 
Duration: ~7.5 hours
 
Experience Necessary: No Previous Experience Neccessary
 
Equipment Provided: Next Adventure will provide transportation, snacks, and experienced guides that can answer questions about the flora, fauna, geology and local history of the trail.
 

 
You need to bring:
 
- sturdy hiking shoes with synthetic or wool socks
- hiking apparel (anything but cotton)
- Day pack
- water (2 quarts)
- lunch (& snacks if you have special dietary needs)
- sun and rain gear
- your trail essentials (see below)
